Lady Leopards Win Home Opener Against Tuslaw 40-32 – Girls Basketball

The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team defeated the visiting Tuslaw Mustangs 40-32 in their home opener Tuesday Night at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville remains unbeaten on the young season with a mark of 2-0.
Sherilynn Mullett scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Lady Leopards. Paige Cole also recorded a double-double with 14 points to go along with a game leading 11 rebounds. Both Cole and Mullett each made 2 three-pointers each. Kendal Loy added 6 points for LHS as well.
Louisville jumped out to a 10-4 advantage after the first quarter before extending their advantage to 19-12 at the break. The Mustangs outscored the Leopards 11-10 in the third quarter, but Louisville answered to take the fourth quarter by a count of 11-9 to seal the victory.
Tuslaw (1-1) was led by Payton Stewart who finished with team-highs of 9 points and 8 rebounds. Abby Hoiles and Selah Yost also added 7 points a piece.
The Leopards are now 1-1 all-time against the Mustangs with Louisville falling at Tuslaw 47-42 last season.
UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next take on longtime NBC rival the West Branch Warriors as part of the Holiday Hoopla Tournament at Walsh University on Saturday, November 30 at 5:40 PM.
