LHS Speech Takes 5th at Tusky Valley, Debate 14th at New Philadelphia – Speech and Debate
This weekend, the LHS Speech and Debate team was split with the speech team competing at Tusky Valley and the debate team going strong at New Philly.
Louisville Speech Team Takes 5th at Tusky Valley
Starting at Tusky Valley, the team won 5th place in sweepstakes.
As for our individual competitors, we saw Sabrina Capito in Informative Speaking earning herself 5th place and a bid to the state tournament. Brody Brown earned 6th place in United States Extemporaneous Speaking. Also in 6th place was Malayna Swope in Dramatic Interpretation. In 7th place, we saw Micah Lowe competing in International Extemporaneous Speaking. Molly Wolfe competed in Humorous Interpretation, earning 9th place. In 10th place, we had Gage Martin in International Extemporaneous Speaking.
Top Novice ranks go out to Brent Williams in Program Oral Interpretation and Isaac McBeath in Humorous Interpretation.
LMS Speech and Debate Tusky Valley Highlights
Our LMS Speech and Debate team also competed at Tusky Valley this weekend and had great success with Isabella Lee achieving 3rd place in Extemporaneous Speaking and Natalie Wolfe earning 4th place in Interpretation.
Louisville Debate Team Places 14th at New Philadelphia
Now, moving on to the debate team which competed at New Philly. Here we saw Taylor Wells earning a top novice award in Lincoln Douglas Debate. As for middle school, we had Hunter Adkinson achieving 8th place in the Congressional Debate. Great Job Leopards and good luck at next week’s competition
