Riley Records Hat Trick After Fast Start

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdReese Riley led the way for the Leopards with a hat trick, scoring twice in the opening minutes and adding a penalty kick in the second half. Her first goal came just under five minutes into the match when she broke free off a deflection and buried a shot from 14 yards into the back of the net.

Just 48 seconds later, Riley struck again. Kasey Lint crossed a pass to Alyssa Schillig, who redirected the ball to Riley. She blasted it home from 13 yards out into the left side of the net to make it 2-0.

Schillig Scores a Pair of 1st Half Goals

Corey Street for Mayor AdRiley then returned the favor by assisting on Schillig’s first goal of the night. The sequence began with a takeaway by Gianna Kruse and a quick upfield push involving Riley and Haile Folk. Riley’s well-placed cross found Schillig perfectly in the center, and she powered a shot into the right side of the net to put the Leopards ahead 3-0 capping off a sequence of three goals in 3:15.

Schillig added her second goal of the night in the 28th minute when she headed home a corner kick from Folk, slotting the ball through the goalkeeper’s legs to give Louisville a commanding 4-0 lead that they carried to halftime.

Lab and Riley Tack on Second Half Goals

The Leopards continued their attack in the second half as Violet Lab found the back of the net off a give-and-go with Riley. Lab initially sent a pass across the top of the box to Riley, who returned the favor with a quick through ball that Lab tapped past the outstretched keeper and into the right side of the net to make it 5-0.

Riley capped off her three-goal night with a penalty kick at the 19:43 mark to give Louisville a 6-0 advantage.

Tusky Valley spoiled the shutout with a late goal in the final minutes, but the Leopards cruised the rest of the way to secure the win in dominant fashion.

Leopards Remain Unbeaten Against Trojans

This was just the third all-time meeting between Louisville and Tusky Valley. The Leopards are now 3-0 in the series, having also defeated the Trojans 3-0 in 2006 and won by the identical score of 6-1 last season.
