Townsend, Girls Golf Shoots All-Time Record Low in Home Opener
Louisville 161, Lake 176, Minerva 190
The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team shined bright in their first home match played at Pleasant View Golf Club. The Leopards shot an all-time team record low 161 in defeating Lake who shot 176 and Minerva who finished with a score of 190. With the wins, Louisville improves to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
Sierra Townsend also set the all-time Lady Leopards Individual Record Low by carding a 34 and shooting 2 under par. Three other Louisville players also set personal lifetime lows and they included Abby Beaver 38, Alexis Beaver 43, and Felicity Adkins 46.

Louisville’s opposition also played well, but the Lady Leopards stepped up their game to a whole different level. The Blue Streaks were led by Olivia Swain who shot a team-low 40 and the Lions were led by Jordan Vanmeter who also shot a team-low 38. The Blue Streaks dropped to 2-2 on the season with the split and the Lions fall to 0-4 overall & 0-2 in the NBC with the losses.
Sara Centore also shot a 51 and Jess Risher finished with a score of 52 to round out the Lady Leopards Varsity. The 161 team score by Louisville eclipses their previous all-time low set at Canton McKinley in a 169-243 back on August 25, 2010.
