Top Memory #15 Lairson Outscores Marlington
#15 Lairson Outscores Marlington
Our first Leopards 2014-15 top memory came back on February 11, 2015 in the final conference game of the year for Louisville Girls Basketball. Despite being out of the hunt for the NBC Crown, the Lady Leopards laid it all on the line in their most complete win of the year. They upended the host Marlington Dukes 62-22 for their most lob-sided victory in three years.
Nine different Louisville players scored in the game, but no one put on quite a show like Sarah Lairson.
With her game-high 24 points, Lairson outscored the opposing Dukes by herself (24-22). Lairson would finish with 9 field goals including 2 three-pointers, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.
The Lady Leopards would finish the season with a 9-5 NBC record and 13-10 overall record. The win at Marlington was part of a 4-game winning steak to end the regular season before their season came to a close at #1 ranked New Philadelphia in the DI Akron Sectional Finals on February 26. However, with only one Senior graduated, the 2015-16 Lady Leopards look to have a breakout season!
