Tennis: Louisville Edges Crosstown Foe Aquinas 3-2

The Louisville Leopards boys tennis team won their eighth straight match after defeating the crosstown St. Thomas Aquinas Knights 3-2 Wednesday evening at Louisville High School.
Jay Bond and Josh Reyes each won singles matches for the Knights, but Louisville won the rest. Anthony Hoover improved to 7-1 on the season by winning his singles match 6-2, 6-2. The doubles team of Vince Burwell and Daniel Thompson also improved to 7-1 after their 6-1, 6-2 victory. Finally, Michael Thomas and Ryan Shepherd also won their doubles match.
Louisville has now taken 6 out of the last 8 match with St. Thomas and is now 19-12 against them all-time. The Leopards as a team are now 8-1 on the year and will next compete in the Louisville Doubles Classic Saturday morning.
