Louisville Leopards Swimming 2015 Vs. Dover Tornadoes

The Louisville Leopards Swim Teams are off to a great start this season. The Boys now hold a 6-2 overall record and the Girls are now 7-1 on the season.

Boys 6-2

The Boys are undefeated against NBC schools this season as they have defeated Marlington twice and edged out an 80-76 road win at Alliance back on December 18. The Leopards also narrowly defeated crosstown St. Thomas Aquinas in the opener 114-113, won at New Philadelphia 79-72, and earned a stunning 88-83 victory at Canton McKinley.

The win snapped a streak of 13 straight losses by the Leopards against the Bulldogs. Louisville Boys Swimming last defeated Canton McKinley 155-135 back on December 17, 1999.

Louisville’s only losses of the season thus far include a 142-92 home loss to Dover and a close 84-82 home loss against Lake this past Wednesday. The Leopards also finished 9th at the Cloverleaf Stampede back on January 2.

Girls 7-1

The Lady Leopards only loss of the season was to Dover by a count of 133-109. Since then, Louisville has prevailed for 4 straight dual meet victories and a second place finish at the Cloverleaf Stampede held at Wooster back at the start of the new year.

The Girls have defeated Marlington twice 154-72 and 109-37. They also downed the host Aviators 119-45 to round out their competition against NBC teams. Other victories included a 154-61 win over St. Thomas Aquinas, a 116-47 victory at New Philadelphia, a 108-62 win at Canton McKinley, and an 89.5-78.5 win over Lake most recently.
