Softball Melts Polar Bears, Boys Tennis Falls to Green

SOFTBALL

Louisville 9, Jackson 2

The Lady Leps blew open a close contest with the Jackson Polar Bears by scoring four runs in the fifth and tacking on two more insurance runs in the seventh.  Emily Isla was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with a triple, two doubles, and three runs batted in.  On the mound, Brittany Flanigan pitched a complete game to pick up her eleventh victory of the season.  Flanigan also had two hits at the plate, including a triple.  Shelby Swigert also helped the Leopards cause by going 3-for-4 in her at-bats.  Louisville is now 7-0 against Federal League Opponents and 16-1 on the season.
