The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team earned a double digit 11-1 win over the host Canton Beatty's Winter 2015 Grey and Blue HoodieSouth Wildcats at Amos McDaniel Elementary School Thursday. With the victory, Louisville improves to 5-2 overall and 4-1 in NBC play.

Grace Jackson batted 2-for-4 with a solo homer, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs scored to lead the Lady Leopards. The dinger was her 5th of the season. Savannah Miner also went 2-for-4 at the dish with a double & 3 RBIs and Rylee Squire cracked her third home run of the season. Aliyah English, Cassidy Glyder, Peyton McKeever, and Teagan Rice all had multi-hit games as Louisville pounded out 14 hits as a team.

In the circle, Sarah Cantley (2-1) pitched three scoreless innings at the start, gave up just 3 hits, and Order Leopard Nation Highlight Videostruck out 1 to earn the victory. Kirsten Wharmby also worked 4 innings in relief, gave up 0 earned runs on 2 hits, and fanned 2.

With the victory, the Lady Leopards have now won 15 straight over the Lady Wildcats, which includes their last 8 meetings at Canton South. Louisville leads the all-time series 45-20.

The Lady Leopards JV Team mercied the host Wildcats 13-2 in 5 Innings Thursday. With the win, Louisville is now 4-0 overall and 3-0 against NBC opposition.

Lauren Bennett batted 3-for-4 with a triple, double, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs scored to lead the Leopards. Bennett fell just a home run short of hitting for the cycle. Julianne Agnone also drove in 3 runs and scored twice for Louisville.

The Lady Leopards pounded out 15 hits as a team. Rachel Israel, Ellie Jackson, and Justina Sirohman all had multi-hit games for LHS as well.

Louisville Pitcher Mackenzie Kendrick (2-2) pitched a complete game, gave up 1 earned run on 4 hits, and struck out 9 to tally the win.
