Seniors Dominate Powder Puff Game

Powder Puff Football Louisville, Ohio 2011

Seniors 35, Juniors 0

The Senior girls squad bettered the Junior girls squad by five touchdowns Tuesday night at Louisville Leopards Stadium.

The Seniors wasted no time in getting the first points of the contest when  Meghan Eddins ran a sweep and sprinted down the left sideline for a 40-yard touchdown on the first play of the contest.

Next, Mackenzie Storlie picked off a pass, made defenders miss, and ran it past the 40-yard-line before her flag was pulled.  The coaches, dubbing in as the referees for the night, ruled it a touchdown since the game was only being played on a 40 yard field.  It was 14-0, or 2-0 for the purest out there.  There were no extra points attempted for those wondering.

The next Senior to take over the game was Brianna Libertore.  She first caught a touchdown pass from Angela Risaliti, then returned an interception for a touchdown on the ensuing possession.  28-0.

In the closing quarter Risaliti threw her second touchdown pass.  On the other end of the connection was Amber Minster.  Minster made the score 35-0 and that’s how the 2011 Powder Puff Football game ended.
