Leopards Post Lowest Home Score Since 2008 in Win Over Cardinals – Boys Golf

The Louisville Leopards Boys Golf Team defeated the visiting Sandy Valley 155-174 Thursday on the Front 9 at Sleepy Hollow Country Club. With the victory, Louisville improves to 3-1 on the season.
Mayle Shoots Even Par to Lead Louisville
Junior Jack Mayle shot a match best even par 36 to lead the Leopards. Mayle shot par on nine consecutive holes to finish with a personal low for the season.
Fellow juniors Zach Root and Cole Miller also shot season lows for Louisville. Root shot 2 over par 38 and Miller finished with another round of 4 over par 40. Senior Sam Karcher capped off the scoring for the Leopards by carding 41.

The 155 team score is the lowest in a home match in 14 years. Louisville defeated Marlington 155-164 on August 21, 2008 at Pleasant View Golf Club, which was the Leopards home course that season.
Ritter Finishes with Even Par to Lead Sandy Valley
Leading the way for Sandy Valley was reigning Stark County Player of the Year Connor Ritter who also shot even par 36. John Wood also shot 44 and Austin Easterday finished with 45 for the Cardinals.
Rounding out the scoring for Sandy Valley were Lucas Ellington and Thorn Stegner who tallied 49 apiece.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next compete at the Lake Blue Streak Invitational on Monday, August 29. Tee-time is set for 9:45 AM from Congress Lake Country Club. Look for the fellas along with the Lady Leopard Golfers in the concession stand tomorrow night as they serve Leopard Football fans during the first home game of 2022.
