Louisville Clinches Share of 7th Straight NBC Title – Boys Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis team blanked the visiting Salem Quakers 5-0 for Senior Night Monday at the LHS Tennis Courts. With the victory, Louisville improves to 12-3 overall and clinches a share of the NBC after moving to 8-0 in the conference.

Beatty's Sports Louisville Leopards Flashy Hat Fall 2016Louisville won 4 of their 5 matches a perfect 6-0, 6-0 and the other match by default to sweep Salem. Singles winners included Ryan Pukys, Nick Eneix, and Scott Gronow. The #1 Doubles Team of Spencer Hall and Seth Gronow also won perfect and the #2 Doubles Team of Josh White and Derek Zeller won courtesy of forfeit.

The Leopards have now won the NBC in 14 of the 17 seasons that Boys Tennis has been an official league sport. Louisville has shared the league only twice in 1991 with Marlington and with these same Quakers in 2012. The Leopards have now won the NBC in 7 straight seasons and 10 of the last 11 overall under Head Coach Rod Hall. Louisville will go for their sixth straight Outright crown Friday when they travel to West Branch.
