Leopards Make Quick Work of Indians in Home Finale – Boys Volleyball

The Louisville Leopards Boys Volleyball Team closed out their home schedule by sweeping the visiting Northwest Indians 25-2, 25-15, 25-17 Monday evening at Louisville High School. With their fifth consecutive victory, the Leopards improve to 12-5 on the season.
Leopard Leaders
Senior outside hitter Brock Cole led the Louisville attack with a team-high 10 kills, while senior Braden Frank dished out 9 assists to help guide the offense. Senior libero Kyle Deem finished with 6 digs and 13 service points, while junior Cale Lindner also recorded 6 digs. Senior Raiden Lindner matched Deem from the service line with 13 service points as the Leopards controlled the match from start to finish.

Leopards Set Single-Set Record
Louisville’s dominant opening set made program history as the Leopards allowed just 2 points in their 25-2 first-set victory. Louisville led 8-0 from the start of the match and strung together another 13-0 run to take a 21-1 lead.
The two points marks the fewest points allowed in a single set in team history. The previous record was 7 points allowed, which Louisville had achieved multiple times, including earlier this season in a 25-7 opening-set win at Northwest on April 9 and again in a 25-7 opening-set win over Cuyahoga Falls on April 23. The Leopards also held Fairless to 7 points in the opening set of a 25-7, 25-13, 25-19 sweep during the 2024 season.
Louisville Remains Perfect Against Northwest
With the win, Louisville improves to 7-0 all-time against Northwest, which includes a 3-0 record at home.
The Leopards have won all 20 sets played against the Indians, holding a 500-283 advantage in total points. Louisville’s average result against Northwest remains a 3-0 sweep, with an average set score of 25-14.

Seniors Deliver on Final Sets with Parents
Following the match, Louisville’s seniors were celebrated with a memorable final-set moment on their home court. Each senior threw down one final kill, with their parents setting them up for the special sendoff.
UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Boys Volleyball Team will next travel to take on the Akron Firestone Falcons in their season finale on Thursday, May 7. JV will being at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow at 7:00 PM from Firestone Community Learning Center.
