Mercier Breaks LHS Shutout Record

Equitable Advisors - Bryce MathieJunior goalkeeper Audrey Mercier recorded her third shutout in four games. Mercier tied the team’s single season shutout record during the Lady Leopards 1-0 win over Kent Roosevelt last Saturday. Mercier now stands alone atop the record book with Saturday Night’s shutout being her record-setting ninth of the campaign.

Mercier’s predecessor Amelia Henderhan (2019-2022) recorded 8 shutouts in a season twice in 2021 and 2022. The 2004 and 2013 Louisville Girls Soccer teams also finished with 8 shutouts.

Mercier’s record setting shutout came just hours after senior goalkeeper Noah Emmons also recorded his 9th shutout of the season to set a new Leopard Boys mark.

Freshman goalkeeper came in at halftime and worked a scoreless second half to help Mercier set the record.
