Morgan Harris pitched a complete game and struck out 7 to lead the Lady Leopards past the Polar Bears 3-1 in the Sectional Semifinals. Leandra Givens also went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles.
The Leopards fell to the Polar Bears 4-0 in the potential Sectional Finals Preview. Tyler Adams had a double and Isaac Mathie pitched a complete game as Louisville dropped to 9-12.
The Lady Leopards have drawn the #6 Seed and will travel to face the #5 Seed Jackson Polar Bears on Monday, May 9 at 4:30 PM in the DI Massillon Sectional Semifinals.
The Leopards have drawn the #10 Seed and will host the #11 Seed Canton McKinley Bulldogs on Wednesday, May 11 at 4:30 PM in the DI Canton Sectional Semifinals.
Kaycee Ollis drove in 2 runs and Kirsten Wharmby struck out 11 in the circle, but Louisville fell at Jackson 4-3. Emily Cantley and Teagan Rice also had 2 hits each for the Leopards.
Dalton Deckerd batted 3-for-4 and drove in 5 runs to lead the Leopards, but the Polar Bears still won the scrimmage 17-12. Louisville is now 1-1-1 in the preseason.
Maddie Moser placed 23rd in the Floor Exercise and 31st for the All-Around to lead the Leopards to an 8th place finish out of 19 teams at the Sectional Meet. Madisyn Seaman also took 34th for the All-Around.
