Louisville defeated visiting Minerva 7-1 to improve to 15-2 overall and 10-0 in NBC play. Gianna Falcone pitched the entire contest and struck out 8, while the offense had a pair of three run innings.
The 2012 Lady Leopards softball team finished the season 25-4 and 14-0 in the NBC. They hit 21 homers and outscored their opponents 255-74 during the stretch that included memorable wins over Perry & Canfield.
Brittany Flanigan pitched a complete game shutout and Chandler Rice & Emily Isla each had RBI singles during Louisville’s 2-0 win over Green. The Sectional Title is the Lady Leps third straight.
Annie Woolf went a combined 5-for-6 with a 2-run homer, double, 5 RBIs, and 5 runs in Louisville’s 11-1 & 9-0 victories over the Green Bulldogs Saturday. Gianna Falcone also pitched a 7-inning shutout in game two.
Louisville scored the first 8 runs of the contest in the second and third innings before cruising to an 8-1 victory over Canton South Thursday. Louisville is now 11-2 overall and 6-0 in NBC play.
Perry used three long balls in Game 1 to defeat Louisvllle 4-2. In Game 2, the Lady Leps rallied back from a 7-2 sixth inning deficit to win 8-7 on Jordan Monnot’s walk-off two-run double.
Clutch performances by Givens and Flanigan help the Lady Leps survive undefeated Hoover, while baseball takes a 10-8 lead on North Canton before the game is suspended.
