Louisville Falls at Home to NDCL 10-6 – Girls Lacrosse

The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team fell to the visiting Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions 10-6 Monday Evening at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With the loss, Louisville drops to 4-6 on the season.
Murphy Notches 4 Assists for Leopards
Senior Kylee Murphy recorded a team high 4 assists and scored a goal to lead the Lady Leopards offense. Seniors Brooke Hubbard and Kalli Spehar also scored 2 goals each.
Sophomore Brooklynn Essik also found the back of the net and sophomore Cheyanne Franklin added an assist to round out Louisville’s highlights on offense.
The Leopards trailed 6-1 at halftime, but outscored the Lions 5-4 in the second half. Junior Sarah Bricker led the LHS defense with a game high 13 saves.
Hinkel Leads Lions with 5 Goals
Sophomore attack Grace Hinkel scored a game high 5 goals to lead Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin. Junior midfielder/attack Mackenzie Niksa also added a pair of goals for the Lions.
Other goal scorers for NDCL included senior midfielder/attack Emily Foley, junior midfielder Ella Lahore, and senior midfielder Gracie Rowan.
The Lions were led on defense by junior goalkeeper Sydney Atkinson who matched her counterpart with a game high 13 saves.
Louisville is now 1-1 against Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin all-time. The Leopards also defeated the Lions 11-9 on April 26, 2018 at Louisville Leopards Stadium.
