Golden, Hubbard, & Murphy All Notch Hat Tricks in Lady Leps 14-4 Win at Green – Girls Lacrosse

The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team scored 7 unanswered second half goals en rout to a 14-4 dismantling of the host Green Bulldogs on a cold, rainy evening at Green Memorial Stadium. With their second straight victory, the Lady Leopards are now 4-5 on the season.
Hubbard Scores 4 Goals to Lead Louisville
Senior Brooke Hubbard scored 3 of her game high 4 goals in the second half to lead Louisville. Senior Tess Golden and senior Kylee Murphy also recorded hat tricks for the Lady Leopards.
Six different Louisville players found the back of the net during the contest. Senior Kalli Spehar scored a goal in each half. Sophomore Cheyanne Franklin and junior Ava Heckman also scored for LHS.
Leopards Defense Shuts Down Bulldogs in 2nd Half
The Lady Leopards led 7-3 at the half. The Lady Bulldogs trimmed their deficit to as little as 7-4 on senior Zanna Belacic’s goal with 23:17 left in the second half.
The Louisville defense would not allow another goal as they outscored Green 7-0 the rest of the way.
Wood Leads Green with 2 Goals
Junior Elissa Wood scored a pair of goals in the first half to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Senior Paige Miller provided the assists on both scores, while also netting a goal of her own midway through the opening half.
This was the first ever meeting between Louisville and Green in girls lacrosse. This is also the Lady Leopards first road win over a Federal League foe since they won at GlenOak 8-6 in 2019.
