The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team upended the visiting Massillon Tigers 8-1 Wednesday Night at Louisville Leopards Stadium. With their first win of the season, Louisville improves to 1-7 on the year.

Megan Chatelain and Morgan Keelan each scored a pair of first half goals to lead the Lady Leopards. After an opening goal by Jenny Hamsher in the 2nd minute of action, Chatelain put two in the back of the net in a span of 1:29 to put Louisville in front 3-0. Keelan followed suit later in the half when she scored consecutive goals 1:21 apart. The first came via a pass from Fallon VanZant and Diana Pukys recorded the assist on the second Keelan score.

Louisville tacked on three more scores in the second half to remove all doubt. Lia Meckel scored in the 43rd minute via an assist from Hamsher. A few minutes later, Destini Adorisio scored to put the Leopards in front 7-0. The Lady Tigers would break the shutout off a penalty kick late in the 69th minute. Louisville answered once more when Aubry Fankhauser scored off a Chatelain pass with 45 seconds left in the game.

With the victory, The Leopards have now played and defeated the Tigers in each of the past 3 seasons. Louisville is now 13-0 all-time against Massillon in girls soccer and has outscored WHS 71-9 overall in those meetings.
