The Leopards led 14-9 at the end of the first, 34-25 by halftime, and increased their lead to double digits at 49-39 at the conclusion of the third quarter. Louisville would go on to outscore Massillon 27-21 in a wild, high-scoring fourth quarter to take the game.

The Tigers (0-4) were led by Duplain who hit 3 three-pointers and finished with a team-high 17. Duely also scored 15 and Berry hit double digits with 10.

Both teams were in the double bonus prior to halftime and consequently were in foul trouble throughout. The fouls continued in the second half, but only 1 out of 8 players who accumulated four fouls would go on to foul out of the game. LHS made 23 of 33 (70%) attempts from the charity stripe, while WHS converted 14 of 26 (54%) for the game.

This is the Leopards first home victory over Massillon since a 66-46 victory at Louisville on December 22, 2010. The Leopards have now defeated the Tigers in each of the pat two seasons and now lead the all-time series 15-10 with a 7-3 mark at home against Massillon. The 136 points scored marks the highest scoring game in the series’ history. Ironically this comes just one matchup after the Lady Leopards won at WHS 38-35 a season ago in the lowest scoring regular season game (73 points) in the series’ history.
