Leopards Dump Dukes 5-0, Perfect at NBC Midway Point – Boys Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Tennis Team shutout the visiting Marlington Dukes 5-0 Wednesday Evening at Louisville High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 7-2 overall and sustains a perfect 5-0 record at the midway point of their NBC schedule.
The Leopards dominated in singles action as they took ever match in straight sets. Ryan Pukys spearheaded the Louisville effort with a near perfect 6-0, 6-1 victory in #1 Singles. Nick Eneix also won 6-1, 6-2 in #2 Singles and Scott Gronow earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory in #2 Singles.
Both doubles teams won without needing a third set as well. The #1 Doubles Team of Spencer Hall and Seth Gronow won their first set 6-3, but fell behind 4-5 in the second set. However, Marlington’s Brady Mohr and Augie Warner retired after that giving LHS the point. Josh White and Derek Zeller also combined for a 7-5, 6-1 win in #2 Doubles.
The Leopards have now defeated the Dukes 14 straight times including the last 7 meetings played at LHS. Louisville is now 68-5 all-time against Marlington.
