Late PK Lifts Louisville JV Past Marlington 3-2 – Boys JV Soccer

The Louisville Leopards JV Boys Soccer Team opened up the season with a 3-2 victory over the visiting Marlington Dukes Saturday at Louisville Leopards Stadium.
Lowder Scores Twice, Kibler Nets Late PK
Freshman Damien Lowder scored a pair of goals to lead the Leopards. Lowder’s first goal was assisted by freshman Adler LaScola and the second goal came via freshman Ethan Lewis.
With the game tied 2-2, sophomore Ryan Kibler connected on a penalty kick with 1:47 left to put Louisville in front. The Leopards defense held the rest of the way to earn the 3-2 victory.
Leopards JV Has Now Won 3 Straight Vs. Dukes
The Louisville JV Team has now defeated the Marlington JV team in three straight meetings dating back to last season. The Leopards won both matchups last year 2-1. To put in in perspective, LHS has only defeated the Dukes twice in 26 total games played in the varsity series that began in 2000.
