Adams Breaks Career Goals Record, Scores Late to Force Tie with Tallmadge – Boys Soccer

Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team rallied in the second half to tie the host Tallmadge Blue Devils 2-2 Tuesday Night. With the draw, Louisville is now undefeated in their last 6 matches and holds an 8-4-2 record for the season.

Senior Riley Adams scored a pair of milestone goals that came late in each half to help the Leopards tie the Blue Devils. Trailing 1-0, Adams scored via an assist from junior Kael Mickley to knot the game in the final minutes of the first half. The goal was the 59th of his career as he surpassed his older brother Bailey Adams (58 goals from 2014-2017) for most in Louisville Boys Soccer history. For Mickley, it was his 4th assist of the season.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdTallmadge retook the lead after the break, but the Leopards fought on deep into the second half. With less than a minute remaining, senior Maddox Drake-McKimm fired a shot that bounced off the goalies hands. Adams was there for the rebound and he booted it into the back of the net to tie the game at 2-2 with only 51 seconds remaining. The goal was the 60th of his career and 23rd of the season. For Drake-McKimm it was his 4th assist on the year.

Neither team would score in the remaining seconds as the game ended in a draw. The Leopards are now 2-1-2 against the Blue Devils all-time which includes a 1-0-2 record when playing at Tallmadge. The two teams also tied 1-1 in their inaugural meeting in 2005.

JV: Tallmadge 3, Louisville 2

The Leopards JV Team fell to the host Blue Devils 3-2 in their season finale. With the loss, Louisville JV finishes the season with a record of 5-3-3.

Sophomore Ian Darrow and freshman Max Pugh scored the two Leopard goals. Freshman Jacob Sanders and freshman Ethan Diller provided the Louisville assists as well.
