Louisville poured on 29 second quarter points en route to a 49-0 win over visiting Marlington on October 15, 1999. With the win the Leopards clinched a share of the NBC Title at 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
The Dukes fooled the Leopards on the first play of the contest by recovering an onside kick, but 
Louisville dominated after that. The Leopards out-gained the Dukes 418-89 in yards from scrimmage and had 17 first downs to Marlington’s 5.
Louisville quickly burned down the field on their first drive. Quarterback Jon Herbert completed a 35 yard pass to Vic McGoye and then followed that up by running for a 30 yard touchdown to put the Leps up 6-0. Herbert would finish the evening 8 of 16 passing for 159 yards and also carried the ball 9 times for 55 yards.
In the second quarter, Louisville crossed the goal line four times. Jason Farkas ran in three touchdowns in the quarter from 1, 6, and 6 yards out. Farkas would finish the game with 59 yards rushing on 12 carries. Herbert also scored on a two-point conversion and threw a 13 yard touchdown pass to Mike Norris. Norris also setup his own scoring drive with an interception on defense.
The Leopards defense held the Dukes to just 3 yards rushing on 11 carries. As a result, Louisville took a 35-0 lead into halftime.
After a scoreless third quarter, Louisville got on the board twice in the fourth quarter. Andy Shook threw an 8 yard touchdown pass to Adam Reinford and Alan Bresson also scored on a 4 yard touchdown run.
NOTE: Game Film did not begin until near the end of the first half. As a result, the first three touchdowns are not available at this time.
