Lady Leopards Defeat Manchester on Senior Night – Girls Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team defeated the visiting Manchester Panthers 3-2 on Senior Night Monday at Louisville High School. With their fifth straight victory, the Lady Leopards are now 11-7 on the season.
Louisville won all three singles matches in straight sets to clinch the match. Sherilynn Mullett was dominate in #1 singles 6-0, 6-3 over Manchester’s Emily Le. Jade Thomas was perfect in #2 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory against the Panthers Jo Hamilton. In #3 singles, Kora Woolfe also defeated Jazmine Mann 6-2, 6-2.

Manchester won both doubles matches. The Panther duo of Ellie Krock & Katie Clark won in straight sets over the Leopards Bailey Menegay & Katie Yarnall 6-1, 6-3 in #1 doubles. The #2 doubles match was the most competitive of the day going into a third set tie-breaker. Manchester’s Madie Dasho & Courtney Carpenter prevailed in the end over Louisville’s Sophie Warner & Elora Cline 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4).
This was the first ever meeting between these two programs.

Louisville Tennis Honors Three Seniors
The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team honored their three seniors prior to their match against Manchester. These seniors included Elora Cline, Sherilynn Mullett, and Sophie Warner. Leopard Nation would like to personally thank these three seniors for their hard work and dedication put forth towards the Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis program! Best of luck the rest of this season and all your future endeavors beyond high school!
