Louisville Tennis Halfway to NBC Title After Win at Alliance

The Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis team shutout the host Alliance Aviators 5-0 Thursday. With the victory, Louisville improves to 8-1 overall and remains a perfect 5-0 in NBC play.
Both #3 Singles and #1 Doubles went to a third set and the Leopards prevailed in both. After falling in the first set 3-6, Vic Knebl rebounded with set scores of 6-1 and 6-3 to take the #3 Singles match. The #1 Doubles Team of Alex Hall & Hunter Williams faced a similar scenario when they fell in the first set 4-6. However, they swept the final two sets 6-2, 6-4 to claim the contest.
Jake Pukys stayed undefeated in #1 Singles with a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Nick Knebl also stayed strong in #2 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win. Finally, the #2 Doubles team of Kyle Shepherd and Kyle Robinson defeated their competition 6-3, 6-1.
Louisville has now won 30 out of the last 31 matches with Alliance including the last 15 overall. The shutout is their 22nd all-time against the Aviators and the Leopards lead that all-time series 42-5.
