Leopards Start Slow, But Catch Fire in 2nd Quarter

Samantha's Grill AdLouisville made just a single field goal from the floor in an opening quarter that saw Tallmadge snag a 7-6 lead.

The script quickly flipped as the Leopards cashed in on 4 three-pointers, 3 of which were hit by Aljancic, on their way to a 24 point second quarter. By halftime LHS had doubled up the Blue Devils 30-15.

Louisville Adds to Their Advantage in 2nd Half

Jenny Can Cleaning AdLouisville continued to build their advantage into the second half. LHS went ahead 50-29 in the final minute of the third quarter before Tallmadge’s Ty Hurst hit a last second three-pointer from the right corner, which proved eerily reminiscent to how the JV game ended.

The Leopards continued to maintain their comfortable lead in the fourth quarter before opening up their largest advantage of the contest at 63-41. The Blue Devils scored the final seven points of the contest, but their rally fell well short as Louisville rolled to a 63-48 road victory.

Ries Leads Blue Devils with Game-High 22

Tallmadge was led by Kyle Ries who terminated the basket with 3 three-pointers and a game-high 22 points. Collin Dixon also reached double figures with 11 and Mason Dexter added 5.

The Leopards have now defeated the Blue Devils in 3 of their past 4 meetings. The series dating back to 2013 now stands at an even 3-3, which includes a 1-1 record in games played at Tallmadge in the matchup.
