Cantley Strikes Out 13 as Leopards Beat Jefferson Area 10-1 – Softball

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team earned a convincing 10-1 victory over the Jefferson Area Falcons at the South Range Tournament early Saturday Afternoon. With the win, Louisville improves to 19-4 on the season.
Starting Pitcher Sarah Cantley pitched a complete game giving up just a single run on 4 hits to lead the Lady Leopards. The first seven outs that Cantley recorded were all strikeouts as she fanned 13 in total for the game. Cantley improves to 13-2 on the season with the win.
Sydney McKeever, Teagan Rice, and Justina Sirohman all finished with a pair of hits and an RBI each to lead the Louisville offense. McKeever also swiped 3 bases giving her 18 steals for the year.
The Lady Leopards drove in all 10 of their runs during the game. Alex Fankahuser hit a 2-run single in the first inning. Kaycee Ollis also went 1-for-3 with a triple and a pair of RBIs. Cantley, Kaylee Nolte, and Shae Thomas all drove in a run each as well.
This was the first ever meeting between the two teams.
