In front of a standing-room only crowd of 4,500 at Louisville on September 18, 1964, the Louisville Leopards demolished the Canton South Wildcats 26-6.  Bob Gladieux set the tone early with a pair of 85 Yard touchdown scampers in the first quarter.  First a run from the Leopards Own 15 and then a Punt Return from the same spot.  Despite his early success Gladieux proclaimed to Louisville Head Coach Hap Lillick after the game, “Coach this was the toughest game I’ve ever played in.”

The two teams exchanged scores on 1 yard touchdown runs in the second quarter putting Louisville up 20-6 at halftime.  First from the Wildcats Roger Kimble and then from the Leopards Tom Chlebeck.  Leopard quarterback Duane Houser also ran in a 1 Yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to finalize the score at 26-6.
