Leopards Demolish Boardman and Lakeside to Improve to 4-0 – Wrestling

The Louisville Leopards Varsity Wrestling Team traveled to Boardman for a tri-meet this past Wednesday. The Leopards crushed the Boardman Spartans 70-15 and demolished the Lakeside Dragons 65-12 to remain undefeated at 4-0 on the season.

Dylan Rhoads (106) and Lacey Harvey (113) both won by forfeit for LHS in the lightweight matches to take a 12-0 lead. Boardman got on the board next when Ray Cmil defeated the Leopards Daniel Adams in a 1-0 decision.

The next 11 matches were all won by fall with Louisville claiming 9 of them. The Leopards Garett Lautzenheiser (126) and Davin Rhoads (138) exchanged wins by pin with the Spartans Tyler Rea (132) and San O’Horo (145) to make the score 28-15 in favor of LHS.

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdLouisville ended the match scoring 42 unanswered points via 7 consecutive victories by fall. The next winners included Logan Vanicek (152), Brenden Severs (160), and Jax Leonard (170). The larger weight classes made quick work of the opposition all winning by pin in the first period. Noah Peterson (182) won in 49 seconds, Tristan Uphold (195) won by fall in a match best 25 seconds, Brent Paulus (220) needed just 1:08 to pin his opponent, and Cameron Brazek (285) won the heavyweight matchup in just 1:54.

Paulus earned his 100th career victory with his win in 220.

The Leopards won 7 matches by fall led by Lacey Harvey (120) who pinned in 18 seconds and Garett Lautzenheiser (132) in only 19 seconds. Other Louisville first period victories by fall included Davin Rhoads (138), Carter Mickley (145), Daniel Kennedy (152), Brent Paulus (195), and Blake Robbins (285).

Dyan Rhoads (113) also won by 17-2 technical fall for the Leopards. Connor Novosel (106), Brenden Severs (160), and Noah Peterson (182) all won by forfeit for LHS as well.

Robert Delewski (220) claimed the only pin for Lakeside. Ethan Wannett (126) and Jacob Lagoa (170) both won by decision for the Dragons.
