Leopards Tie Generals 1-1 After Late Wooster Goal – Girls Soccer

The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team knotted the host Wooster Generals 1-1 Monday Night at Wooster High School Stadium. With the draw, Louisville is now 3-3-2 at the midway point of the 2017 campaign.
After over 65 minutes of scoreless action, the Lady Leopards struck first with 14:13 left in the contest. Hannah Baughman sent a corner kick to Kayla Gibson who unloaded a shot that deflected back. Gibson got her own rebound and laced the ball into the back of the net to give Louisville a 1-0 advantage.
The two teams continued to battle as the Generals made a late push to knot the game. Wooster broke loose on a breakaway and Alexa Sommer scored the game-tying goal with just 1:23 left to play. Niether team would score over the course of the final 83 seconds.
The Leopards are now 0-1-1 against the Generals all-time and this is their first ever match played at Wooster. Louisville is now 0-3-2 in non-conference games this year.
JV: Louisville 3, Wooster 0
The Louisville Leopards Girls JV Soccer Team blanked the host Wooster Generals 3-0 Monday. With the victory, Louisville ups their mark to 4-1-2 on the season.
Emilee Mueller scored a pair of goals for the Leopards and Gabriella Smith tacked on the other. Hannah Daughtry and Tapanga Smith recorded the assists for Louisville.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Carrollton to take on the Warriors on Thursday, September 21. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow at 7:00 PM.
