The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Soccer Team blanked the host Streetsboro Rockets 1-0 Saturday Night at Quinn Stadium. With their third consecutive victory, Louisville now has a winning record for the first time this season at 4-3.


Folk Free Kick Puts Leopards in Front

Jenny Can Cleaning AdJunior Paige Folk scored the only goal of the contest in the opening half and the Lady Leopards defense shutout the Rockets the rest of the way to preserve the victory. Folk scored off a free kick from about 20 yards out with 22:21 left in the opening half to give Louisville its first and only advantage of the game.

Henderhan Records Third Consecutive Shutout

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdSenior goalkeeper Amelia Henderhan recorded two saves in earning her third consecutive shutout. Henderhan made a key save in the closing minutes to help secure the Leopard lead and the victory.

Henderhan has now recorded 22 shutouts in her varsity career.

This was the first ever meeting between Louisville and Streetsboro in girls soccer.  

UP NEXT: The Louisville Leopards Girls Soccer Team will next travel to take on the Lake Blue Streaks on Monday, September 12. Game time is slated for 7:00 PM from Blue Streaks Stadium.
