My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdCam Lingle threw a complete game no-hitter to lead the Leopards in their 3-0 shutout of the host St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish Wednesday. With the win, Louisville improves to 8-3 on the season.

Lingle retired the first 20 batters he faced in making it 6 2/3 innings perfect for the Leopards. Lingle struck out the side in the bottom of the sixth and then began the bottom of the seventh with 2 straight outs. He also got ahead of the next batter 1-2 before a 2-2 pitch was hit into play. An infield error cost him what would have been the second perfect game in Louisville baseball history and he hit the next batter for his only blemish. Lingle redeemed himself by striking out the next Irish batter on 4 pitches to complete the no-hitter for Louisville. It was his 11th strikeout victim of the game.

Lingle’s performance was a necessity for the Leopards as neither team scored through the first four innings of play. Louisville managed to push across a run in the top of the fifth when Cam King grounded out to the shortstop bringing home Dom Mongiardo from third. The Leopards tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the top of the seventh when Max Hartline hit a 2-out, 2-run single scoring King and Davis Burick. 

UP NEXT: The Louisville Baseball Team will next host the Cardinal Mooney Cardinals on Friday, April 12 at 5:00 PM. Freshman will be on the road against the Canton Central Catholic Crusaders at the same time.
