Louisville Basketball to Play SPIRE Institute and LaMelo Ball February 5
The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team has added a new game to their independent schedule. They will play at Geneva, Ohio against SPIRE Institute on Tuesday, February 5. The matchup with be Varsity only with game time set for 7:00 PM at SPIRE Institute according to the SPIRE Institute Varsity Basketball Schedule on their website.
SPIRE Institute made nationwide headlines when LaMelo Ball enrolled in the academy in November. Ball is currently ranked 13th in the ESPN 100 top ranked basketball recruits in the country. He is the youngest son of media personality and businessman LaVar Ball who founded the JBA (Junior Basketball Association) as well as the Big Baller Brand. His oldest brother Lonzo Ball is the Point Guard for the Los Angeles Lakers and his other brother LiAngelo Ball is the Shooting Guard for the UCLA Bruins.
Updated Schedule
The Leopards 22-game schedule was originally filled, but the North Canton Mercy Medical Classic was postponed due to the ice storm/blizzard the area received on Saturday, January 19. Louisville was originally scheduled to play the Wadsworth Grizzlies during the Classic at North Canton Hoover High School. The Mercy Medical Classic will be made up on February 16-17, but the two teams did not reschedule leaving both with an opening.

Louisville Vs. SPIRE Institute Ticket Information
The Louisville High School Athletic Ticket Office will be selling tickets for the Louisville Leopards at SPIRE Institute game on Friday and Monday. Tickets are $10 each and office hours to buy tickets are as follows:
- Friday, February 1 – 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
- Monday, February 4 – 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
