Louisville Falls on the Road at Salem – Volleyball
Salem 25-25-23-25, Louisville 4-16-25-19
The Louisville Leopards Varsity Volleyball Team fell to the Salem Quakers 4-25, 16-25, 25-23, 19-25 in four sets Tuesday Evening at John A. Cabas Gymnasium. The loss snaps the Leopards 4-game winning streak as they fall to 10-9 overall and 8-3 in the NBC.
Cami Nau finished with a team-high 10 kills and was also the Leopards leading server with 7 points and 2 aces. Morgan Cole also finished with a team-high 28 assists on offense for Louisville.
Ellie Jackson was the top defensive player for the Leopards with 19 digs. Emily Fresenko also sent back a team leading 2 blocks for Louisville.
The Lady Quakers were led by Josie Miller who finished with 13 points and 4 aces serving to go along with 10 assists. Caitlyn Marx also had 11 kills & 4 blocks and Echo Mayer-Kutz finished with 10 kills & 3 blocks for Salem.
The loss snaps the Leopards string of 7 straight wins against the Quakers, which included 3 straight victories on the road at Salem. Louisville is 8-6 against SHS since they entered the league in 2011, which includes a 3-4 mark at Salem.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next host the Marlington Dukes on Thursday, October 5. JV will begin at 5:00 PM and Varsity will follow at 6:00 PM.
