The Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Soccer Team tied the host Orrville Red Riders 2-2 Saturday Afternoon at Red Rider Stadium. With the draw, Louisville is now 5-4-4 on the season.

Foley Gets Louisville on the Board with PK

Senior Mason Foley got the Leopards on the board first by netting a penalty kick into the right side of the net at the 30:27 mark of the first half. The score was Foley’s fourth goal of the season and it gave Louisville a 1-0 lead that they would take into the second half.

Orrville answered when junior Bryan Cruz centered a pass to the middle of the goal box. Senior Hugo Cruz was there to redirect it in to the left side of the net to tie the game at 1-1 with 36:54 remaining in the contest.


Leopards Retake the Lead on Gilbert Header

My Fit Life Personal Trainer Side AdThe Leopards retook the lead in the 68th minute directly off a throw-in. Sophomore Brayden Mayle showed off his arm strength with a throw from the right sideline that was headed home by junior Cooper Gilbert. The goal is Gilbert’s first of the season and it gave Louisville a 2-1 advantage with 12:34 to go in the contest.


Cruz Scores Game-Tying Goal in Final Seconds

Junior Dennissonn Lopez took a shot into the box and the ball deflected over to Bryan Cruz who found the back of the net for the game-tying Red Rider score with just 7.4 seconds left.

The clutch goal allowed Orrville to extend its unbeaten streak to nine as they improve to 12-1-1 on the season. A few more seconds and Louisville would have handed them their first home loss of the season and first loss overall since the Red Riders lost at Norwayne 3-1 on September 8.


Louisville Vs. Orrville Boys Soccer History

This was the first meeting between Louisville and Orrville since the Red Riders overtime win over the Leopards 3-2 in the DII Canton District Semifinals on October 22, 2019. Louisville is 2-5-1 against Orrville all-time, which includes a 1-3-1 record when playing at OHS.

JV: Louisville 7, Orrville 0

The Louisville Leopards JV Boys Soccer Team shutout the host Orrville Red Riders 7-0 Saturday Morning at Red Rider Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves to 7-4-1 on the season.

Kadan Swope scored a pair of first half goals to lead the Leopards in taking a 4-0 lead into the half. Damien Lowder recorded the assist on Swope’s first goal of the contest and followed it up with a goal of his own to make it 2-0. Avery Andrejcik added another score to make it 3-0 LHS after that.

Louisville added on to their advantage in the second half with three more goals. Will Pouchabay, Caleb Riley, and Hudson Barthel all found the back of the net to put the Leopards in front 7-0.

Ryan Kibler, Adler LaScola, and Jacob Sanders all finished with a pair of assists for the game for LHS. Noah Emmons also earned the shutout in goal for Louisville.
