Louisville Leopards at Northwest Indians 2020 Boys Basketball Highlights

Lingenhoel Group - Arden and Lisa Lingenhoel - Cutler Real Estate AdThe Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team fell on the road as the host Northwest Indians rallied for a 54-51 victory Tuesday Night. The loss snaps the Leopards four game winning streak as they drop to 5-4 on the season.

Dakota Hoffman made 3 three-pointers and scored a team-high 16 points to lead Louisville. Scott Gronow also scored all 10 of his points in the first half and Collin Chambers finished with 9 for the Leopards.

Louisville led 19-14 after the first quarter and extended their lead to 34-28 by halftime. Northwest rallied in the second half cutting the deficit to 44-40 by the end of the third quarter. The Indians would double up the Leopards 14-7 in the final quarter to take the game 54-51.

Northwest (5-5) was led by Kyle Luhring who scored 7 of his game-high 23 points in the fourth quarter. Nick Leeders and Trey Miletich also added 11 each for the Indians.

My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdThis was Louisville’s first trip to Northwest since they downed the Indians 72-62 on the road on December 17, 2010. Prior to last night, Northwest last beat Louisville 67-61 in the DII Canton Sectional Final on March 5, 2011. Both contests were during the Indians last year in the NBC. Northwest has now won 3 out of the last 4 in the series overall with Louisville winning last season 49-46 at home on Colton Jones‘ buzzer beater.

UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Massillon Tigers on Friday, January 10. JV will begin at 6:00 PM and Varsity will follow around 7:30 PM.
