Leopards Largest Win at North Canton Since 1953
The 22-point margin of victory is the Leopards largest at North Canton since defeating them 75-30 on January 23, 1953. It is also Louisville’s third largest known road victory over the Vikings all-time. The Louisville Blue Raiders also defeated the North Canton Vikings 44-2 on the road on February 2, 1934. To clarify, that score is not a misprint.
Overall the victory is the most lopsided by the Leopards in the rivalry since the 1992-93 season when Louisville downed Hoover 77-49 (28 points) at home.
The win snaps the Leopards three-game losing streak against the Vikings dating back to 2020. This was the 130th known meeting between the two schools on the hardwood dating back to the 1926 season. North Canton still leads the all-time series 69-61 overall.
