Leopards Shutout Quakers in Opener – Boys Tennis

Grove Appliance Alliance Ohio AdThe Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis Team blanked the host New Philadelphia Quakers 5-0 in the season opener Monday.

The only hotly contested match came in #1 Doubles. The Leopard duo of Asa Herron and Zach Eddins rallied for a hard fought 6-7 (2-7), 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) to secure the shutout for Louisville. The #2 Doubles Team of Spencer Hall and Seth Gronow won their match in straight sets 6-1, 6-0.

Beatty's Louisville Leopards Grey Sweatshirt Jacket 2017The Leopards also swept all three singles contests. Ryan Pukys won #1 Singles 7-5, 6-0, Ryan Richards won #2 Singles 6-2, 7-6 (7-5), and Nick Eneix took #3 Singles 7-6 (7-4), 6-3.

With the victory, the Leopards have now won their last three meetings with the Quakers. Louisville now leads the all-time series 12-5.
