My Fit Life Personal Trainer AdThe Louisville Leopards Boys Varsity Basketball Team rallied back from a double digit second quarter deficit to earn a 77-65 road victory against the host Howland Tigers Friday Night at Howland High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 13-8 on the season.

The Leopards had four players reach double digits led by Jared Mathie who poured in 21 points. Spencer Hall also scored 17, Cam King added 11, and Colton Jones finished with 10. Jimmy Wright also hit 3 three-pointers and Jones also made a pair of triples for Louisville.

The Tigers were red hot in the first half and took a 22-19 lead after the first before extending to their largest lead of the night at 43-30 with 2:38 left in the second quarter. The Leopards showed their explosiveness by going on a 16-0 in response to take a 46-43 advantage with a little under five minutes left in the third quarter.

The two teams went back and forth for a few minutes and Howland took their final lead of the game at 50-49 with 2:38 left in the third quarter. Louisville scored the next 6 points and led 55-53 heading into the fourth. The Leopards dominated the final period 22-12 to almost completely flip the script. LHS trailed by 13 in the first half, but finished with a 12 point victory.

The Tigers (6-14) were led by Nathan Barrett who scored 12 of his game-high 21 points in the second quarter. Cam Durig also scored 14 points and both Frank Manios and Joey Vitale added 8.

Louisville is now 2-0 against Howland all-time. The Leopards also defeated the Tigers 58-50 in a Hoops for Healing matchup at Lake High School on December 8, 2012.
