Leopards Tame Tigers to Earn First Victory of the Season 58-50

Ronnie Carter and Blake Hoover the Leopards with 15 points a piece as Louisville defeated Howland 58-50 to capture their first win of the season at Lake High School Saturday evening. Carter was named the Hoops for Healing Player of the Game by Head Coach Tom Siegfried.
After a low scoring first half, the Leopards produced 43 second half points en rout to victory. Hoover piled home 8 of his 15 points in the third period that saw the Leopards outscore the Tigers 20-12.
In the final quarter, Carter scored 8 of his 15 points to keep the Leps ahead. Alex Schooley also scored 10 points on the evening and Alex Hollifield scored on several key fast breaks in the fourth quarter to give him a tally of 7 points on the evening. AJ Minster proved to be clutch from the line as well as he hit home 4 of 4 free throws down the stretch.
Much to their demise, Howland shot just 45% from the free throw line and out-fouled Louisville 22-10.
With a win under their belt, the Leopards will have 6 days to prepare for a trip to face the defending NBC Champion Alliance Aviators on December 14.
