Leopards Complete Perfect 10-0 Run to Close Out NBC Era – Boys Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis Team shutout the host Canton South Wildcats 5-0 Wednesday Evening. With the victory, Louisville finishes the season with an overall record of 15-3 and completes their sixth straight perfect 10-0 run through the NBC in their final match in the league.
Both Leopards doubles teams won in straight sets. The #1 doubles team of Spencer Hall and Seth Gronow won a perfect 6-0, 6-0 and the #2 doubles team of Josh White and Derek Zeller produced a similar 6-1, 6-0 victory.
Louisville also swept all three singles matches. Ryan Pukys earned a 6-1, 6-0 straight set win in #1 singles and Nick Eneix won by the count of 6-3, 6-4 in #2 singles. The most competitive match of the day came in #3 singles with Scott Gronow earning the point 6-2, 1-6, 10-8.
The Leopards leave the NBC in dominating fashion as they win their last 61 dual league matches. This is the 11th time that Louisville has gone perfect through their NBC schedule in 17 seasons in which Boys Tennis has been an official league sport. The Leopards finish with a final record of 131-13 in Northeastern Buckeye Conference play from 1990-1993 and 2006-2018.
