Leopards Win 13th Straight, Down Central 163-175 – Girls Golf

The Louisville Leopards Girls Golf Team defeated the host Canton Central Catholic Crusaders 163-175 Monday at Elms Country Club. With the win, Louisville ups their record to 13-1 for the year.
Katie Bice shot a team low 38 to lead the Leopards. Other top scorers included Alexis Ralston 40, Madison Gruber 42, and Abby Davis and Erin Strouse who shot 43 each. Maddy Fowler also finished shooting a 45 for the day to round out the final varsity score.
The Crusaders were led by match medalist Casilda Alledesalazar who shot a match low 33. Central’s other top scorers included Kaitlin Belden 45, Kristen Belden 48, and Taylor Adams 49.
The Leopards have now won both games in the season series with the Crusaders. Louisville holds a 9-3 edge in the all-time series which includes a 2-2 mark in matches played on Central’s home course. The Leopards have taken the last 7 meetings in the series overall dating back to 2015.
UP NEXT: The Leopards will next host the Fairless Falcons on Tuesday, September 10. Match is set to begin at 4:00 PM from Pleasant View Golf Club.
