Lady Leopards Double Up Cardinals in Road Win – Girls Lacrosse

The Louisville Leopards doubled up the host Canfield Cardinals 14-7 Wednesday Evening at Cardinal Stadium. With the victory, Louisville improves their undefeated record to 8-0 on Beatty's Sports Blue Shirt Under Armour Spring 2017the season.

Alexa Oberster scored a team-high 6 goals, recorded 2 assists, and fielded 2 ground balls to lead the Leopards. Katie Hollifield also finished with a hat trick and fielded 2 ground balls.

Canfield took an early 4-2 lead, but Louisville scored 6 unanswered goals to end the first half and take an 8-4 lead into the break. The Leopards never relinquished their advantage and rolled to their 15th straight regular season win dating back to last season.

Marissa Vick also netted a pair of goals for Louisville. Other LHS scorers included Haley Black, Kloe Mercorelli, and Mandy Wesely.

With the win, the Leopards are now 4-0 against the Cardinals all-time with a 2-0 record at Canfield. Louisville has never lost on the road in the regular season. They are 5-0 in away games over the past two regular seasons.

JV: Louisville 5, Canfield 1

Grove Appliance Alliance Ohio AdThe Lady Leopards JV Team earned a 5-1 over the Cardinals on Wednesday. With the win, Louisville is now 3-1 on the year.

Shelby Lewis scored twice to lead the Leopards. Maddie Kirby, Katie Monter, and Lana Ulrich all added a goal a piece as well. Maddie Bates, Tori Sharlow, and Megan Vesely provided the assists on the scores.

In goal, Lia Meckel finished with 4 saves.

UP NEXT: The Lady Leopards will next travel to Boardman to take on the Spartans on Tuesday, May 2 at 5:00 PM.
