Lady Leopards Suffer 1st Loss at Boardman 4-1 – Girls Tennis

The Louisville Leopards Girls Tennis Team fell on the road against the host Boardman Spartans 4-1 Thursday Evening at BHS. With the loss, Louisville is now 2-1 on the season.

Jade Thomas earned the only victory for the Lady Leopards in #3 singles. She defeated Alyssa Alberti in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.

The Spartans were dominate in the other two singles matches. Ava Valco defeated Rachel Kibler in #1 singles 6-3, 6-0. Alyssa Olsen defeated Sherilynn Mullett 6-2, 6-1 in #2 singles.

Boardman’s #1 doubles duo of Mia Hammerton and Kira Vasko earned a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory against Louisville’s #1 doubles team of Bailey Menegay and Katie Yarnall. The #2 doubles match was much more competitive, but the Spartans team of Jayna Shaw & Brianna Alberti defeated the Leopards tandem of Ashley Dadisman & Kora Woolf 1-6, 7-5, 10-7.

This was the first ever meeting between Louisville and Boardman in girls tennis.
