Lady Leopards Conjure Up Shutout Against Magics – Girls Tennis

Louisville 5, Barberton 0

The Louisville Leopards blanked the visiting Barberton Magics 5-0 Tuesday Evening at Louisville High School. With their third straight victory, Louisville improves to 5-1 on the season. 

Jo Menegay won a perfect 6-0, 6-0 in #2 Singles to lead the Leopards. Rachel Kibler also dominated #1 Singles 6-0, 6-2 and Sherilynn Mullett followed suit in #3 Singles 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles action, the #1 team of Amanda Plaskett and Jade Thomas won in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. The #2 team of Carleen Fouts and Bailey Menegay also earned a hard fought 6-4, 4-6, 10-7 three set match to seal the shutout.

Louisville is now 4-0 all-time against Barberton with their first meeting coming in 2010.
