The Louisville Leopards Varsity Softball Team fell to the host Alliance Aviators 11-5 Friday Evening in their season finale at Union Title Field. With the loss, Louisville finishes the 2023 season with a final record of 11-13.

Louisville Varsity Softball ‘23 couldn’t keep up with Alliance Varsity Aviators and fell 11-5 on Friday.
Alliance Varsity Aviators fired up the offense in the first inning. An error scored two runs for Alliance Varsity Aviators.
In the top of the second inning, Louisville Varsity Softball ‘23 tied things up at two when Chay Cline singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Alliance Varsity Aviators pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored one run for Alliance Varsity Aviators and Megan Hippely homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs.
Alliance Varsity Aviators scored four runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Alliance Varsity Aviators came thanks to singles by Alexa Brown and Brooklyn Campbell.
Emma Reese got the start for Alliance Varsity Aviators. The lefty went three innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out one.
Anna Sirohman was in the circle for Louisville Varsity Softball ‘23. The righty lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and ten runs while striking out three. Taylor Thompson threw one and one-third innings in relief.
Kaitlin Twinem went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Louisville Varsity Softball ‘23 in hits.
Alliance Varsity Aviators tallied ten hits in the game. Cameryn Mullaly and Hippely all had multiple hits for Alliance Varsity Aviators. Mullaly led Alliance Varsity Aviators with three hits in four at bats.
