Leopards Down Aviators 4-1 to Put Stranglehold on NBC – Boys Tennis

Louisville 4, Alliance 1
The Louisville Leopards Boys Tennis Team downed the host Alliance Aviators 4-1 Thursday Evening at Alliance High School. With the victory, Louisville improves to 9-3 overall and remains unbeaten in the NBC at 6-0.
The Aviators gave the Leopards all they could handle as 4 of the 5 matches required 7 set points to win. Nick Eneix won in #2 Singles by the count of 7-5, 6-4 and Scott Gronow took #3 Singles 6-4, 7-6 with a 7-2 tie-breaker determining the second set.
Louisville also won both doubles matches in similar fashion. The #1 Doubles Team of Spencer Hall and Seth Gronow won 7-6 in their first set determined by a 7-5 tie-breaking win. They also won the second set 6-2 to sweep the match. Reversely, the #2 Doubles Team of Josh White and Corban Brown doubled up the opposition in their first set and won a 9-7 tie-break to take the second set 9-7.
The Aviators (14-3, 8-2) were led by Lawyer Penird who rallied for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory in #1 Singles. This match concludes Alliance’s NBC schedule with their only two losses coming to the Leopards. Every other team in the league has at least 3 league losses, so Louisville can clinch the NBC in their final year with a pair of wins in their final 4 conference match-ups.
