The Louisville Leopards Girls Varsity Basketball Team upended the host Akron East Dragons 82-15 Thursday Evening at East High School. With the win, Louisville has now won 3 of its last 4 and improves to 10-6 on the season.

All 15 Leopards scored from the field as LHS dominated from start to finish. Junior Brooke Haren nearly matched the Dragons team score with a game high 14. Senior Taryn Miglich made 3 three-pointers while scoring all of her 11 points in the first half. Senior Anna Ramsey rounded out Louisville’s top scorers with 8.
The Lady Leopards limited Akron East to just a single field goal in 3 of the 4 quarters. Louisville launched out of the gate in taking a 24-3 lead at the end of one. They followed that up by outscoring the Dragons 27-3 in the second quarter to build a 51-6 halftime advantage.
The 27 points scored in the period ties the Lady Leopards record team record for most points in a second quarter. Louisville previously finished with 27 points in the second quarter of their 77-52 win over Chardon on November 27, 2021.
The Lady Leopards outscored Akron East 11-6 in the third quarter and 20-2 in the fourth quarter en rout to sealing their 10th victory of the season.
Lockett Leads Dragons with 9
Lockett hit 3 three-pointers and finished with a team high 9 points to lead the Dragons. Other scorers for EHS included Janiya Goldman with 4 and Romo with 2.
Louisville is now 2-0 against Akron East all-time. Their only other meeting came in the 2002 postseason. The Lady Leopards won that DII Uniontown Sectional Semifinal 50-33.
