Louisville Varsity Leopards Stymied By St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats

Louisville Varsity Leopards couldn’t keep up with St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats and fell 15-3 on Thursday at Fisher Field @ Baldwin Wallace University .
Louisville Varsity Leopards were the first to get on the board in the first when Kolton Loy doubled, scoring two runs.
St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats captured the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the first after Mick Allington doubled to center field, Joey Frey grounded out, and Vince Durny singled to center field, each scoring one run.
St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the second inning. Jackson Boyer tripled, scoring three runs, #30 doubled, scoring two runs, and #7 grounded out, scoring one run.
St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats added one run in the third. Joey Frey grounded out, making the score 10-2.
St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats scored five runs on seven hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Brandon Rose singled, scoring one run, Brett Krugman drew a walk, scoring one run, Nolan Ignacio singled, scoring one run, Allington singled, scoring one run, and Joey Frey singled, scoring one run.
Vince Durny earned the win for St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Tate Aljancic took the loss for Louisville Varsity Leopards. The hurler went one inning, allowing eight runs on nine hits, striking out one and walking none. Vance Brody stepped on the mound first for St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and two runs over two innings, striking out two and walking none.
Loy provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Louisville Varsity Leopards with two runs batted in. The catcher went 1-for-2 on the day. Zander Triplett went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Louisville Varsity Leopards in hits.
St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats accumulated 18 hits in the game. Boyer provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats with three runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Ignacio led St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats with four hits in four at bats. Rose, #30, #7, and Allington each collected multiple hits for St. Ignatius Varsity Wildcats.

Louisville Leopards JV 2025 fell 5-4 to St. Ignatius Junior Varsity Wildcats on Thursday despite out-hitting them five to three. Cohen Graybill, Trevor Burick, Anderson Kandel, Xavier Berdella, and Ashton Marshall each collected one hit for Louisville Leopards JV 2025.
St. Ignatius Junior Varsity Wildcats opened the scoring in the first after Jimi Crilow induced Finn Barmann to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.
Louisville Leopards JV 2025 tied the game up in the bottom of the fourth thanks to two singles. Louisville Leopards JV 2025 tied the game at two on a single by Berdella.
In the top of the fifth, St. Ignatius Junior Varsity Wildcats broke up the tie when Aaron Poretsky doubled, scoring two runs. Then a single by Teague Green followed to extend the lead to 5-2.
Poretsky earned the win for St. Ignatius Junior Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher surrendered three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three and walking two.
